Lanserhof to invest €100m into luxury health spa
A groundbreaking ceremony has been held for the development of a €100 million health spa at the Finca Cortesin resort. This project is being carried out by Austria's Lanserhof Group, experts in luxury resort preventive and wellness medicine, marking their inaugural venture in Spain.
The ceremony was attended by Casares mayor, Juan Luis Villalon, Lanserhof CEO, Dr. Christian Harisch, and Fernando Olaso, Managing Partner of AltamarCAM Partners, who are investing in the project.
Villalon emphasised the job opportunities that will be created for Casares, both during the construction phase and once the spa opens, which is expected in mid-2026.
The resort will span 20,000 m2 and feature 71 rooms. It will include a cutting-edge medical clinic, along with a spa, gym, treatment services, swimming pools, and other facilities. The building will boast large arcaded corridors that offer solar protection to all facades, allowing most of the circulation areas to be outdoors.
Lanserhof operates clinics that specialise in preventive medicine, longevity, and wellness, blending the latest medical advancements with traditional naturopathy at its three existing centres in Lans (Austria), as well as Tegernsee and Sylt in Germany.
Dr. Christian Harisch said:
“This is an exciting time for the Lanserhof Group as we strive to expand our offerings and provide more people with access to our world-class health services.”
